Greeting from Dallas, Texas!! First of all, the weather here is great. Nice and warm whereas back home in Gardnerville, Nevada it has been snowing! I guess Spring hasn't quite woken up there yet.
Anyway, here I am doing one of my favorite jobs--buying for my shop Ruby Rose Cowgirl Clothes. Yesterday was my first day which I call my Preview Day. I pretty much go around to get a feel of the market which is actually a pretty hard thing to do because Dallas Market Center is huge. I love it here. The reps are very friendly, the other buyers seem open to sharing their insights, the fashion shows are fun and that long neck beer tasted pretty darn good after a long day of shopping. I'm sure you are saying "Tough Job!" and I answer "Yeah, but someone has to do it. Awfully glad it has to be me."
Today I feel pretty good. The two hour time difference hasn't made me as groggy as I was yesterday. Just had a quick breakfast and here I go--off to market. First thing on the agenda, find some cool jewelry! I'll report back later and I will try to remember to take a few pictures.
